Only eight percent of hiring managers believe that Gen Z (born 1997 through 2012) are ready for the workforce, according to 350 hiring managers surveyed by the job candidate assessment firm, Criteria, as reported by Forbes this October. . . There are two college ranking publications with completely different methodologies. The 2026 publications of The Wall Street Journal/College Pulse and U.S. News and World Report both continue to prioritize job outcomes as the largest criteria; however, each uses distinct definitions and weights in calculating job outcomes. . .
